Kallur is a wonderful village in the Kuntala Mandal of Nirmal District, Telangana State. The village is located on the busy National Highway-61 (old NH-222).
The village is famous for a devoted Sai Baba Temple located on the hillside of the village. Many pilgrims visit this temple for peace of mind and divinely blessings from Lord Sai Baba.
The primary livelihood of people in the village is agriculture. The village is surrounded by green crops and lively trees. The main crops here are paddy, maize, cotton, soya, groundnut, etc. Apart from agriculture, people here also depend on Beedi rolling for their livelihood. Many people here are acquainted with this beedi rolling occupation.
Though it’s a small village, it’s a center of learning with many educational institutions helping the children from various surrounding remote villages to be well educated. The village has Government schools, and other private schools and colleges.
The village also stands as a business center that joins the surrounding three Mandals. People come here from surrounding villages to buy goods and other necessities, as well as wholesale items.
